I had been planning on doing the Big Baldy Loop, but as I headed up the Bear Canyon Trail, I decided I'd give Lookout Mountain a try. (I figured I could either head back down to Bear Flat, or maybe traverse over to the Bear Canyon Trial.)
There was a good use trail heading up the West Fork of Bear Canyon.
I didn't bring a map, so I didn't realize that I needed to "backtrack" after gaining the ridge. I ended up contouring over to the Bear Canyon Trail.
With the wind scrubbing the "west" side of the mountain, there were drifts beyond a foot deep in places. The wind also made the summit an uncomfortable place to be with lots of swirling snow.
I ended up heading down the Ski Hut Trail and walking down the road back to Ice House Canyon.

Heading down to the village.
There was ice in spots which made walking the road intersting.
